Despite being active, and a keen rugby player, I struggled with my weight perceptions whilst growing up and understand all too well the strain this can have both emotionally and socially.
My drive for being a dietitian stems from my desire to direct people towards feeling more compassion for themselves and ultimately happier in their own bodies and with their relationship with food. Academically, I have degrees in both Nutrition and Dietetics (first class) and Chemistry, from the Universities of Surrey and Cardiff respectively. I have experience working in the NHS across a spectrum of areas including diabetes, frailty and public speaking. I am also a gymnastics coach with Forma, an adult gymnastics class based in Stroud and Gloucester which focuses on encouraging movement and physical improvement for all ages. I am a great believer in challenging yourself and recently spent a year doing ballroom and latin dancing and more recently am attempting to learn Japanese! |
